Evaluation:
Multiple exposure is the process of layering two separate images over each other allowing one of them to be seen though the other image. During this lesson we had to explore how to achieve multiple exposure. During this we had to use photoshop to achieve the multiple exposure instead of being able to do it directly from the camera. To start with we had to go out and first take photos of trees and bushes to overlay over an image of a face. By doing this it meant that then later we could either layer one of these images over a face or have a face layered over the landscape image.
| Here we see I have overlaid the image of a person next to some flowers. This image looks ghost like because the image of the person has been made transparent. This was done on purpose to allow for a more black and white image fill. This would sometimes happen with olden photos where the photograph takes two images and the previous image parts of it are seen in the new image which allowed for a ghost to be seen in some of these images. |
| Here we see I have made the person slightly transparent and then have changed them into a shadow. This allows for a mirrored affect because both side look like there could be a mirror in the centre allowing for a mirrored effect. |
Progression:
If I were to continue this project on I would like to try and use the outline of a person or and object and layer branches inside of the outline of their body. I feel like this would make a rather interesting photo and also for some of them it makes it seem slightly creepy.
| Here we see that the outline of a person where the inside have been replaced my leafs and branches . This allows for an interesting image. By the photographer adding the silk cloth to the back of the person as well it makes it seem almost natural. |
| Here we see another example of the someone replacing a persons insides with leafs. In this image we see that the photographer has decided to leave their necklace on and we can also make out skin on the shoulders where they have also kept a tattoo add to the affect of making the image seem more human. |
