Urbex Clown:
Urbex Clown is a photographer who mainly specializes in scenes of decay, rot and abandonment. The way they work is they will take an image of a fairly normal environment and then create a very tense and uncomfortable scene. What has inspired me about this photographer is the fact that they can take a normal looking place and change it into a scene that makes people feel uncomfortable every time they see a scene like the image in public. This has then made me want to try and re-create this affect be making a scene seem very uncomfortable and then having that then linger with them affecting them for every time they see it creates that same original atmosphere of fear.

| In this image we see that Urbex Clown has used an abandoned house as the stage for his photograph. Here we have the model standing in the middle of a corridor wearing a a clown mask. This image confuses the brain because we have the opposite of what lots of his photos are. We have an image that would normally inspire fear but because we have a window with a light coming though it we aren't scared when we should be. |
 |
| Here we a very basic picture where we have the model extending their hand out towards the camera. This makes the photo creepy because its almost as if the model is reaching out of the image and trying to grab you the viewer. This affect works well if the thing trying to reach out is scary in some way. |
 |
| Like the image above we have another forth wall break where the model in some way is interacting with the viewer. In this one we have a clown pointing at the viewer. The fact that they are in front of a circus it is almost as of they are inviting the viewer into the circus, but due to the creepy mask the clown is wear and the angle of the camera it creates a rather eerie feel in the image. |

| In this image we see a couple standing next to monument. This image is rather creepy because we have one of them wearing a clown mask while the other is wearing clown face paint. Also because the light is coming from behind the monument it creates a glow from behind the monument. |
This photographer has influenced me to try and re-create their forth wall breaking images where the model is trying to interact with the viewer. Lots of Urbex Clowns photos involve someone wearing a mask. I would like to do a shoot where I use the same model but with lots of different masks but while they are doing the same action in each photo. They do lots of their photos in public places and in places of significance.
The best way to sum up Urbex Clown is to say they surround themselves in a shroud of darkness which is then transferred into their photography. They then use that to create an atmosphere of creepiness and an eerie attitude which I think works very well with their sort of photography.
