Multiple Flash - Work Diary

Evaluation:
In this lesson we had to use multiple flash to make it look like there was an after effect on the image. This is were we had to keep the shutter open and only flash the flash when we want the person in the image to be seen. This would give the affect of a ghost like person of the person following them doing the exact movement they did before each flash. It think that this lesson went ok because with some of the flashes the timing was off meaning that it was hard to get the correct shots. One of the biggest problems was the room was too light but there was nothing that could have been done to avoid that because the studio we were using didn't have blackout blinds.

In this image I tried to re-create the YMCA dance with the same person. It worked apart from the Y section because it was the first flash and the more time you take in the shot the first image slowly dissipates making it look ghost like. This also means the the flash in the beginning was bot enough for the Y to come up on the image even when trying to enhance it in photoshop. 

In this image we see the person moving across the image dancing from left to right. The middle flags was the strongest which means that that person is the most viewable and most solid part of this person. This works well because it means that it puts the point of focus at the middle of the image meaning that the viewer can then read the image across to see what the overall movement of the person.

Progression:

If I were to continue this I would like to try using multiple flash in a different way by setting up multiple sources of flash or use a stronger flash to see if I could make the ghost like people more solid and to see if I could keep the first photo brighter and there for longer. 

In this image we see that there is a slight ghosting in the image but because there was less of a pause in-between each movement this means that each section is still daily solid.

Here we see two images using multiple flash were the person or object in each shot is solid and it doesn't have the transparent ghost effect on any of the shots.
