Close-Up - Image Bank

Using a macro lens you can see things that you would not normally see. It gives the viewer a landscape that is usually just past over.  This image was taken using a macro lens with a fast exposure.

Macro photography gives entry into a world you usually don't pay any attention to. I like the lighting on this every day object. It takes something   that no-one gives a second thought to and makes it an interesting study. Some product designer would have put a lot of thought into the design of this ring pull.

Close up photography can make every day objects exciting. In this shot the angle adds emphasis to what would normally be a rather dull image.

Close up takes us so close to a subject we can really see the beauty and complexity of things in a new light. I really like the texture of the eye and the skin on this animal.

Rain drop keep falling on my leaves! I am studying chemistry and biology at Harlow. This shot clearly demonstrates "Surface Tension" Surface tension is the elastic tendency of liquids which makes them acquire the least surface area possible. Hence a droplet.

I would never have known spiders have 4 eyes had it not been for this close-up
