Reference Image:
In the reference image we see that the is of a person covered in some kind of white powder. The image has then been changed into black and white which highlights the whiteness of the powder and the dark shadows on the skin. The other thing that makes this photo interesting is the emotion conveyed on the woman's face which is then made simple by the black and white created a more pure expression.
My Image:
In my we see that the model is completely covered in powder. This allowed for a more horror touch to my photo. The intriguing parts of this photo is the contrast between the light and dark of the photos. The uneven spread of the powder creates a texture affect on the face of the model. This allows for there to be even more shadow across the face and adds to the layers of the image.
The Connection:
The connection between the two images are that they both have white powder creating an image with a higher level of contrast between the black shadows and the whites of the powder. The interesting thing about the two photos are the blacks between the powders because they show the contrast between the two images.
